What is a Content Management System?
A Content Management System is a platform on which your website can be built. Once built and tested, it allows a user to update certain parts of the website they have, without the need to know complicated web languages such as HTML, CSS or PHP.
Why would I need a CMS?
By implementing CMS into your site, not only do you have control over when and what you want to change, but you don’t have to pay an outside source to make all the changes for you.
Which CMS will be used?
I find working with the very stable platform ‘WordPress’ gives the greatest experience. It is used on over 61 million websites and blogging sites, and many large companies use WordPress including Sony, Samsung, eBay, Ford and Yahoo!
Will getting a CMS site cost me more?
This entirely depends on the type of site you run, the number of pages you have and what you will need to edit. As with all sites, prices vary according to each specific requirement, and so an upfront cost can only be estimated.
If you decide you would like to use a content management system for your website, once it has been built you will be given all the training required for you to start editing your own pages.
